*Edited 6/5/17-Still totally in love with this book!! It's just as good the next time around. My only bone to pick with it, and which I forgot to mention the first I read/reviewed it, I'm so disappointed in Lucien. I loved his character in ACOTAR, and it posses me off that he didn't stand up to that douche-pussy Rankin on Feyre's behalf. After all she did to free them, and he was supposedly her friend, and instead he stands BY douche-pussy at the end?! He did nothing to stop those events from occurring. I can't forgive him for that, and it sadly slashed his ranking in favorite characters =/ I'm really hoping he redeems himself in ACOWAR, which I get to start now!!!!!!! :D*
Omg...just wow. Where to begin with this book?! It was just so, so, SO very good. I hated to set it down even for a moment! It just wrapped me up in its web until the very end. And the ending was just...wow. SO great and terrible I wanted to cry and throw the book at the wall. I need the next book. NOW. Please, now. Just such a great, enthralling, marvelous, captivating read. I just can't rave enough about it!!
And Rhysand. Need I say more? Yes, yes I do. Thank the Mother, we are Cauldron blessed to have such a literary badass, who is so brave and cunning, selfless, courageous, loyal at all costs, loving and beautiful, self-sacrificing to protect those he loves. I loved his character when he first appeared in ACOTAR, but in this book my love for his character knows no bounds. The mask of the cunningly cruel High Lord of the Night Court is stripped away and his true self is laid bare for the readers. His truly wonderful being is exposed in his telling of his pasty history, as well as his present, little by little throughout the many pages of this book. And you see what a true hero looks like.
The number of pages, the sheer size of this book was a little daunting when you don't have enough time to read. But wow, I wasn't ready for this one to end! I truly wished it could just keep going, more pages appearing. Although, my wrists/hands protested at holding it up as big and heavy as it is. I am impatiently waiting for the next book. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas. I just need it now!
And one last thing. Damn Tamlin to holy bloody hell!!!! I hope he rots.
