How do you even write a review for a book so clever and engrossing? I debated giving it a 5 star rating, but again I had just given Godsgrave a 5 (it was a coup de coeur), and I can't be going around like a goddamn godmother fairy sprinkling perfect ratings around.
Overthrowing an empire - Such is the mission an unlikely band of thieves set out for. I'll be damned if I didn't wish I was part of their group, being able to make such a tangible difference in the/their world. I think that's what always gets me about fantasy... The protagonist(s) usually have so much power to change the current state of affairs, while in real life I have close to none.
A full-of-spoilers review will come soon, but to those of you who have read this - How... how did you survive the last 100 pages? My book depository order of the next book better come like.. yesterday!
