Loren and Lily are like two peas in a pod...a very reckless and dangerous pod. They are both addicts, him - alcohol and her - sex, and they're both enablers. It's a very slippery slope indeed!

This series has been gobbled up by most of my friends and has been on my list for a very long time. I was happy to give it a shot but OMG....I was anxious for most of the book! Reading about these two giving in to their addictions and dealing with the fallout(s) was a struggle. And to be honest, it got a bit old...but then something happened. I started caring about them and wanting them to get their acts together!

I love that they have such a long history with each other...growing up together, being best friends and now roommates but there seemed to be something else going on. Or maybe I'm just grasping for straws because I was dying to have Loren's POV. I wanted to know how he really feels about Lily and why he drinks so much...is it just him family life or something else?



And as anxious as I was, the book was hard to put down. We get to slowly know both Lily and Loren but since it's in Lily's POV, things are a bit skewed.

Lily's family dynamics was interesting and how they seemed to have a system in place to deal with Lily...especially with how to get a hold of her. I'm not sure what I think about her sister, Rose, but I do like how things are going with a certain someone.

Ryker is an intriguing character and I had a feeling something was up with him. It will be interesting to see where things go.

Speaking of where things go...the dynamic is changed up a bit, some things come out in the open and some secrets revealed. I can't wait to see what happens next!
