First an update on the Direwolf situation

I still do not have one...sadface.

This series !!! What can I say I am loving it! I don't know if I was just sick of everything else or just needed the escape but I am soooooo enjoying.

The great thing is that I am on the third book and its not like I can't say which book I like better, which was weaker they are one long story that come in three(so far for me) packages.

Its not like Indiana Jones. Where we say" man I love Indiana Jones but... that second one WTH? " You know, with Kate Capshaw and her never ending shriek and there were monkey brains.
Do you remember the monkey brains?
I remember the monkey brains.
Refresher

**I will make no mention of Indiana Jones and the skull of shit or whatever it was called because I have decided that Harrison Ford needed a new boat and it should not be included in the series.

Anyways A Song of Fire and Ice seems to different from the other series I have read *cough* Sookie Stackhouse *cough*. I find them very refreshing and I never have any idea where its going or how he is going to get us there, also do not get attached to anyone cause George R R Martin be killing bitches left right and center. No one is safe.

Confession time: I seem to have a crush on The Hound

WHAT?
Shut up!
I dont want to talk about it!

Whatever! I am not even sure he is alive, the last time we saw him he was feeling a bit stabbed under a tree and I am not puting a "spoiler tag" on that, cause if I don't know then I am not spoiling anything.
Maybe its cause he is so grumpy?
This series brings out some weird attractions, my friend said she thought Littlefinger was sexy, he is a quirky mother f@&ker I'll give ya that, also she did not judge my hound problem so we're good.

Shan Ellis I have a crush on the hound too, started with the looking after Sansa in book 2. Whaaat?! He's got lots of redeeming qualities...

Jess yay! thank you! Yes always "gently" moving her along and then the rescuing her. Glad I'm not alone :)

Kate I love you lmao! And I'm looking for a direwolf too! And I secretly love the Hound and your comment about killing bitches left and right ... OMG SERIOUSLY!!!! Whenever anyone I like is in peril I'm all "oh F no!!!" But it's usually when everything seems just dandy and bam. Dead.

Also, my friends are not reading fast enough and my family are like "so next season is based on the second book then? Meh reading is over rated" so I have no one to commiserate with about all of this craziness!

In closing, you are awesome. <3

Jess Kate !! No your awesome!!! I have pretty much the same problem here, "why don't you just wait for the 2nd season?"
Um cause thats insane.
I will not judge you on The Hound no problem there.

Shovelmonkey1 If the ladies are loving Aidan Gillan aka littlefinger in this then you probably need to order in a bucket of ice and a copy of UK TV series Queer as Folk which hit screens here in 1998. In this Gillan was famed for appendages other than his little finger.

Jess haha!I Love Aidan Gillen in Queer as Folk, seen him in lots, including a Jackie Chan movie (not my finest moment) I totally did not recognize him as Littlefinger(that never happens, I remember ALL) I just kept saying he was doing such a good job as a creeper, cause he is sooooooooo creepy.

Kate Not sure why this got emailed to me as a new review but I still <3 you - and I still don't have a direwolf either )c: although i did get offered a Tamaskan ... They're like the weird US equivalent to Northern Inuits... I wasn't about to pay 2k for it though - cray cray!

I edited a picture because it said "info lost or something" maybe that's why? I am almost giving up hope on my Direwolf dream...almost. <3 u 2

Micheal Totally understandable (your Hound thing). I don't have a crush, but he has grown into one of my favorite characters. I believe he hungers for redemption. Don't know his final fate but I have my suspicions. It will be a shame if he is truly dead.

I reread book 4 and (view spoiler)
His bit with Arya was one of my fav parts of the whole series, I wished that roadtrip never ended.

Witch I think Littlefinger is hot too, from the television series.

Shelia Weiss Though I have no crush, I did want to give him a big bear hug a couple of times. ;)

Ramsey really??? Wow I have not heard that one before, the Bolton's do keep it interesting. I think Simon from Misfits is going to play him and he is pretty sexy so who knows you may be starting a trend ;)

Lostfate13 The Hound.... Yeah, me too.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

to aid in your search the dog you're looking for is a northern inuit :)

Jane Anne Ok, I have a West Highland White Terrier and of course his favorite character is Ghost. I really got into watching the series when I had the flu and watched the first 8 episodes back to back. My trusty Westie was on the couch with me the whole time and by the end of the 8 hours, he thought he was a fire wolf!! Love the books, I don't feel like I am reading them, I feel like I living in them. Only on page 200 of this book do don't want to read too many reviews for fear of spoilers. I understand about the Hound completely!!

message 28: by TR (new) - rated it 5 stars

TR I have just read the part where before Arya left the Hound, his confession was truly sad, especially about Sansa, obviously he loves her, and she was one of his regrets after leaving King's landing

Shreya Please tell me the hound is not dead ☹️
