OW AND OM SPOILERS AND WARNINGS
(view spoiler)
For anyone who doesn't mind OW and OM this one is very hot right now on Kindle Unlimited go for it! I'll pass but a lot of my friends have LOVED this book!:
More on OW (other women) and OM (other man)
Isabella's review
Chantal's review
Note: For the purpose of my reviews whatever activity with OW meaning kissing, trying to f@ck her, taking her to a hotel (even if later hero regrets it and "can't stop thinkinga bout the heroine", watching her naked counts as disloyalty and cheating IF( and only IF) THIS HAPPENS AFTER H and h get together,. I consider they're together once they have exchanged a kiss even if there's no promise of exclusivity. If it is before they kiss I have no problem, but if it's after they have kissed I hate it. It makes the Hero weak and childish. Specially when the "separation" happens for such stupid reasons. Grow up man! This guy isn't a man, he's a boy pretending to be a man.
Again, a lot of my friends like this bad-boy-type of heroes, so you might as well give this book a try. I'm searching for UNREALISTIC MEN that's why I'll pass.

I hope I helped. It's a shame because I read mostly good reviews from readers who don't mind OW OM.

With all those manwhores and with my weakness for first timers I came to accept OM kisses as even necessary. Just kissing! Anything above kissing is ew! I mean all those virginal girls with those guys who have had all those women. It's so unfair! At least let's give the chance to the girls to see if there's another option. No sleeping with OM just kissing him so it's not like the Manwhore Hero takes it all. Poor virgins girls! Just not like in this book. Sleeping to OM is a huge no-no!

I understand why you reject this book - in general. I just wanted to say why I didn't - specifically.

Yay! Welcome to the anti-OW club. I love NA virgin heroine books and also YA romance that's why sometimes I accept celibate heroines kissing or thinking about OM (looking at you shatter me) before their happy endings. Not fond of it, but I can live with it. It's the OW cliche that really upstes me!
Once I've paired the couple together
You pair them after they meet? or after they talk exclusivity? or like me after they kiss for the first time?

I know! I don't mind in other genres, but isn't romance supposed to be about finding the pefect hero? Why settling for something less than a perfect man?

I know. It's usually like that when romance authors have a huge loyal fanbase. That's why I don't trust GR ratings. I mean I really like most of Alexa Riley's books (no cheating, short stories) and none of her books have 4 star ratings. Whereas all those cheating heroes get gazillions 5 star reviews. It's crazy really.
GR ratings suck!

The sad, sad thing though is I think there are lot of women who enjoy reading the humiliation and lack of spine of the characters. I don't know whether it's because of submission represents absolute love or the need to see a woman degraded, but it seems to fit a need out there. You can see it in the Harlequins as well. Who knows?

I've read my share of Harlequins and I still think Erotica self published has more misogyinist elements and it's way more degrading to women. I wrote a paper about women in small towns where it's the greatest of dishonors not to be approached by men, and not getting married getting competitive and mean towads other women. That's why I always say that misogynist writers like Jaime Mcguire must come from towns like this one. I don't know.

I liked the suffering too, but I want that they get their HEA's finding an ideal man who will stay forever with them. If he's as bad as this guy even if they get a Happy ending it won't be good. It'll look like eventually he'll ruin the relationship again. Not fun to read that.

Yes, it's as though Jamie McGuire hates all women, she's so mysognistic in her books. And it's clear a lot of authors are trying to copy her creating those manwhore heroes. At least Travis could be cute when he wanted to.

No problem! The sequels are full of OW too. In fact they're worse, because the heroes have sex with other women!

Whaaaaat??? How is that even romance?? Ugh, I'm so tired of all the OW and OM in these so-called "romances." And it's always the ones I want to read! Sigh.
