I wanted to take time, so I started last monday (the 17th), telling myself that I would have 1 week to re-read each one. And I finished both in 5 days. I don't know what to do with myself anymore :'(

Yes more! But the thing is that in the 2nd book it actually kind of made sense. In book 3 it seems it's only here to fill pages.

I actually liked the greater complexity in the characters but totally agree with everything else in your review. The mate thing and the constant obsession over and over with reminding everyone how much they love each other� argh. There is a reason romance books end when the main love interests get together. It becomes boring very quickly.

I definitely thought it was a copout that basically nobody stayed dead except the dad we hardly knew anyway. Much as it would have hurt, at least it would have felt like some sacrifice was made.

Well sicne I found ACOMAF to be the best book out of all three, and with the growing disappointment in ACOWAR I can guess then that you won't be happy with it since 95% is Feyre and only like 5% dedicated to the other side characters which were ten times more interesting than the main couple!

I agree, i often drop the books once they're together xD
But yes, they're in love we get it and except Tamlin : nobody cares, everyone is happy for them.

A comment like this came from a reader who rated this book 4 stars, things are already looking grim for me.

PS: I'm interested to read about Feyre's sisters, but I don't think even them can motivate me enough.

yes exactly
i loved feyre but she took to much place in this book. She was everywhere doing absolutely NOTHING. She couldn't even success at being a Mary Sue

Elain, on the other hand, i found her totally useless. She does have a role, but her freakin friends and family are so out of it it's useless.

Nesta is a darling! But I won't put my hope too high on any other character outside of Feyre (or maybe Rhysand) getting their own book! Because SJM's books has to be about the Mary Sue and the Goddamn Perfect Couple! *smirks*

Yeah that really annoyed me too. Let people die and quit it with the mate thing. Originally I thought mates were meant to be really rare, but it seems now that everyone has a mate, it is very common apparently.

I still really enjoyed it. I found the quality of the prose to be a lot better.

Plus can anyone remember whether the term 'mate' had been mentioned in ACOTAR? Because I honestly didn't notice Faes are supposed to have mates in this first book!

And the plot was so predictable, they kept mentioning Myriam and Drakon that we knew they'll appear eventually and we had to see Amren's power at some point. I wished she would have a book in which she returns home but it was too cliche! I don't feel anything towards Rhys and now Lucien is probably my favorite and maybe Cassian but it was too cliche! I honestly liked Jurian switching sides because his revenge never made sense to me but yeah seriously, everyone is the good guy now? I wished Beron would refuse to join and Eris would kill him or something. I was afraid Feyre will become another Aelin. She did not. She was the total opposite. Rhys and Feyre were too good too marie sues. *sigh* i can complain about this book all day, first one with a great review who didn't like the book, glad someone saw reason and wasn't fangirling about this HEA :p (hide spoiler)]

Yea how come Beron is still alive? And why does SJM makes her characters making a deal to kill him if she does not go through with it? Rhys was freakin boring, and I loved lucien but i found him pathetic with the mate thingie. They're kind of all pathetic about that.

EXACTLY. Like not even a scratch? No one was disabled? I'm seriously considering 2 stars rating but I think i will give it 3. I don't know yet. I also agree about with diversity thing, fans are always complaining so it was forced everyone turned up gay/bi. If she doesn't want to, then leave her alone. Look what it got us.

i had a really hard time rating it, and i started with 3 stars. I love the two other books and i supposed this last one is not that bad because it's entertaining and everything but it's too simple and i feel like i was taken for an idiot. Like all is best in the best of worlds because SJM didn't want to make her fans unhappy. You're not supposed to write to please everybody but to make a story you love come alive. And here i am, left with a bitter taste... (hide spoiler)]
