I guess this is a pretty decent originish story. It's more emotional than action-packed, so it wasn't exactly a page-turner. It read more like a love letter to the character than anything else.

I'm definitely not an expert on Daredevil, but this didn't really make me want to run out and catch up on all the back issues. However, it didn't sour me on him, either.
For me, this was just ok.

Chino Couldn't have said it better myself.

Anne Thanks! I think there's MUCH better Daredevil stuff out there than this. :)

Adam M Finished my re-read and got my review posted. Turns out I was wearing some rather rose-colored glasses looking back on this.

Anne I love your review! I'm doing a few re-reads myself right now to see how stuff holds up. Wish me luck!

Thanks Anne and thanks for sending me back that way, it was a nice lesson. Good luck, may the memory of books once loved be not tarnished by their glaring warts and latent misogyny.

Anne I hope not! But it is something I try to think about when someone who is reading an old favorite of mine gives it the middle finger. Perhaps they aren't wrong?

Andson Rebello I'd suggest reading Daredevil Man Without Fear. Having just read this, it obviously lacks the complexities that made Daredevil a fantastic character

Anne I haven't read that one yet, but it is on my list. Thanks! I'll see if I can bump it up. :)
