The title should have been Sneer Storm. So annoying! Gritting teeth, snarling, sneering... a thesaurus was sorely needed here.

The sneering and snarling. Good lord it drove me nuts. Also let’s not forget her obsession with teeth. How many times did she mention people curling their lip and showing their teeth. What are people doing with their faces in this book!??

The repetitiveness drove me CRAZY!!! Are there any other words out there Aveyard could have used?? Apparently not because seriously, the vocab was extremely limited

You really could’ve told me this before I read that sickening ending. The way I relate to everything you said is the best relation I’ve had from this awful series. Honestly, how did anyone like Mare. Also, the way she made Maven worse and worse, when she was the only one who could fix him! Even at the end she made him think HE wasn’t good enough for HER! The irony is humorous but also heart wrenching. I don’t care what happens with Mare and Cal, they’re both flat or wicked and selfish. They kind of deserve one another, but I wouldn’t wish Mare on anyone. Like you said, Cal’s love for his brother was the only admirable thing about his character. There was one thing keeping me to this book, Maven, and watching him die just sealed the deal. Evangeline and Elane were also pretty great. And I feel like no one’s talking about how Mare completely bashed Maven for everything, as though it was actually him doing it. It annoyed me when everyone else did it, but infuriated me when Mare did. She knew first hand what was actually going on his mother-made mind. Ughhhhh! So much to vent about, but I don’t want to give this bias book anymore review length!
