really liked it
bookshelves: favorites

(4.5) One of my favorite premises is a character reliving their life over and over. So this book was on my radar.

I really liked Grimwood's take on it as, for once, I could relate with the main character's decisions and he added a nice twist to it.

It did become more philosophical and would recommend it if, as a literary fiction or contemporary reader, you're trying to get into sci-fi.

Kimberly Beaty Do you know of any other novels that are like this?

Similar premise? The first fifteen lives of Harry August

Daniel Lawson Yes, and that book is good too

CadmanReads similar premise:
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
Life after Life Kate Atkinson

Whisky Kilo My dream is to find another book that hits me like this one did. It doesn’t necessarily need to be about time travel, just something as amazing as this. Any recommendations? Anybody who loved this book must share about the same taste in book as I do

Whisky Kilo The 15 lives of Harry August was very, very good. But I would rate Replay as the superior book.

Maybe The Humans by Matt Haig? The beginning of the book is funny, it might not be your type of humor but I would still continue since it becomes more serious and philosophical. Basically an alien learning what it is to be human!

Erin Kimberly- Recursion is very much like this, as is The Time Traveler's Wife. You may have read the latter, it was super popular during the aughts. That one really hit my zone!

David All You Zombies - Heinlein

Michael Poley Dark Matter and Recursion by Blake Crouch ... And check out the brilliant movie Peggy Sue Got Married

CadmanReads I'd like to add a new one to the list: Meet me in another life by Catriona Silvey

Tony F Try Time and Time Again, by Ben Elton.
