I'm gonna make this quick:
I would've enjoyed the conclusion to the Red Queen series a lot more if I'd read it two or three years ago.
I barely remembered anything from King's Cage and therefore didn't feel an emotional connection to this book and the characters.
I also thought this book was too long. It was nicely plotted and very political at parts, but too drawn out and I got really bored (especially during Iris's chapters). I'm happy I finally finished it.
I already knew who was going to die in the end, so I didn't have the wtf-moment others might have felt.
The writing was good and technically, I believe this was a good conclusion to a good series, but the first book was definitely the best one, and War Storm won't stick with me.

I agree! And they look amazing all next to each other with the colors fading from white to dark!
Same. I couldn't remember the previous books and couldn't bring myself to reread them so I just read summaries to get a quick refresh. I didn't feel super connected to this book at all, but was still very disappointed in the ending. Meh.
@Cassa glad I'm not the only one. I'm sure it's not a bad book but I just wasn't invested in the story anymore.
The german covers are okay, but the american covers are so beautiful, there you are right.
