Let's do a little pre-reviewing.
If there is one thing that irritates me about this books blurb it's this sentence:
Oh and BTW, I hate the cover.
If there is one thing that irritates me about this books blurb it's this sentence:
"There’s saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay’s wrath."What?! Are we still on this tip Cremer? WTF? Shay's wrath? This is the issue I have with this series. Cremer can run around screaming "girl power!" all she wants, but I'll tell you what's really going on here. Boarderline domestic abuse disguised as love in sheep's clothing. Shay is an awful character and I'm sorry if his immature sensibilities will be hurt when Calls attempts to save Ren's life. He would rather see Ren dead than the possibility of Calla choosing Ren over him. What a controling little prick. And all Calla does is submit. *eyeroll*
Oh and BTW, I hate the cover.

kinda surprised you're still going 'to read' this one

Shay's always been bland and immature, but Ren can be just as pushy. His character was verging on the stereotypical, romanticized forceful lover in Nightshade (although I think Cremer took it too far in Wolfsbane in that one scene because even though Ren was pushy in Nightshade, I didn't get the vibe that his character was THAT pushy).
I love girl power, but this series is not it.

Kate, I can't believe it either, but since I've read the other two, I feel like I might as well attempt to read the last one.
Sandy wrote: "Thank you, Stephanie, for all your comments showing what's wrong with this series. I want Calla to FINALLY act like an alpha and quit being such a pushover for these boys. If Calla wakes up and c..."
I know! Let her choose neither boy!
I can't even think about Shay without seeing red. He disgusted me.

Calla is supposed to be about 'girl power', but she actually never leads the pack. I don't understand. I LOVE werewolves, and every other wolfy book I've read has the Alpha being the leader, the protector. Perfect? No, but able to navigate and make decisions. Cremer said we would explore what an 'aplha' really is in the next book. Hopefully that clarifies things. honestly, I'd be happy with Calla leading her pack alone for ten years before meeting a nice Alpha man that needs an Alpha female and then merging packs. lol.

But this is all just my opinion on the subject lol

That's good that things got better in this book. I actually liked Nightshade, but was extremely disappointed with Wolfsbane. I probably won't read this one because I kinda lost interest. I read a spoiler of the ending, which pretty much confirmed I wouldn't enjoy this one. It's probably best for all parties if I don't read it! Lol.

Everyone is hating this so far! So I broke down and read the spoilers. They are almost funny. Needless to say, I wont be reading this anymore.

OMG! YES! Someone finally noticed that flaw in the story. Like seriously, don't get me wrong I love Andrea Cremer and how amazing her work is, but she made a big deal on how the Scion is suppose to be this big, bad, scarey hero towards the Keepers who want to kill him. And all we got was nothing but information, Shay being a jackass, Calla always submitting to him and the fighting only lasting for a few minutes when it should of been much more, but she made it seem like they were wimps if you ask me.
