When a person reads the same book for the third time...The Two Towers, me... make that I, no surprise they love it. The brainy Oxford University professor J.R.R. Tolkien, the legendary author has talent , lots and lots as anyone who flips through this knows, the proper word for the way we turn the pages. Middle- earth the land of good and bad Wizards, evil Orcs, strange Men, even weirder Elves but nice, fierce little Dwarves and still smaller amiable Hobbits all in the mix, stir them up and the delightful stories give pleasure. Frodo and Sam travel over terrain we never want to see let alone live in , dodging the ominous Black Riders, these undaunted Hobbits on a suicide mission have more grit than most bigger creatures with either two legs or four. Mordor is a place of terror, bleakness and death their ultimate destination..Gandalf the mysterious, their friend is not around, helping others against treacherous Saruman the lets say not a friend, two wizards are one too many here. His boss Sauron of the Dark Kingdom likes chaos, doesn't mind killing , enjoys it as he looks down from the foreboding mountains planning what? Gollum is a despicable thing with unsavory habits, quite an understatement...
who follows Frodo and Sam once corrupted by the One Ring, loves, needs and desires this above life will do what is required to achieve this goal, (the Ring), dominates the proceedings...a big problem. Over high peaks under tunnels so dark you can't see your hand in front, smells which makes the stomach uneasy, sounds not cheerful to hear...shapes unknown, or need to find, holes felt but not scouted. While a grotesque unseen varmint creeps around. A territory of spirit and evil like any ...However only in the Lord of the Rings will you discover the enchantment ...good or bad .
