I guess it is time for me to go into:
Its Me! not the Book! so many readers loved this. I just couldn't get into the story that much. Some parts were sweet, others i found really irritating.
My first attempt at reading this failed due to the many typos and the Insta between Bryce and Dakota threw me off. When i saw Michael Pauley was narrating this i decided to give it another try, i have to say as much as i love MP, here it was somehow a miss especially with Dakota and the female voices.
What worked
-The Characters were likable enough.
-Robbie i will listen to his book if it will ever come out on Audio.
What didn't work
-I couldn't feel the chemistry between Bryce and Dakota, all throughout the book, sometimes it just felt flat. Even the sex scenes fell flat.
-There were some inconsistencies when it came to Bryce's family, i think the author forgot how many Brothers and Sisters he had.
- It had the Made Marian Vibe all over it.
- The age thing was all wrong, IMO Bryce felt like 24 and Dakota 34, not the other way round, even the mentions it at some point.
-Overall, i just couldn't connect.
Again its me not the book! or I will just blame it all on Archer and Mallory! i am still reading it at a snail pace, not wanting it to end.

Oh! Yeah I agree that if you are adding a bunch of supportive characters (family) you have to make them likable and engaging.. otherwise they are distracting..

I think that Lucy Lennox does it very well. Here they were all over the place.

It is an amazing book! so far it is only 1 book, i hope there will be more in the near future. You should sample it and see. :)

This one was just ok for me. The next one is immensely better, just saying ;-)
