lol started this forever ago & just now finished it! didn't love this one as much as i was hoping to, but i understand why so many connect to it. i respect the author for being so open and honest about things she's faced.

I've been curious to read this. Maybe I'll pick it up! I heard it's pretty deep to say the least.

I absolutely loved this! its definitely understandable that you didn't connect to it as much as some others but I'm happy that you could appreciate it!
I'm halfway with this book but I'm not really getting into it. She puts effort into the imagery, but I can't connect with the lyrical quality of her poems, because there just isn't any. I rather much read Pascale Petit's poetry collections, like "The Zoo Father" or "Fauverie". Petit's poems are based on the same themes that Rupi Kaur writes, but Petit's poems were much more enjoyable.

I rather ..." True. This was recommended to me by a friend and I got into it with a lot of expectations but the writing style has a lot of room for improvement IMO. It didn't manage to create the whole atmosphere that was needed to engage the reader throughout the book.
Completely agree. It was good just not as amazing as i people kept saying
