it was amazing

Harrowing, hilarious, and wonderfully experimental, this is a terrific novel that captures the absurd brutalities of war. The prose is propulsive, the narrative is fractured, and every shard in this tale lands in the perfect spot. An impressive debut.

Glenn Russell Is this the novel to start with for Ismet Prcic, Michael? This is the only book by the author my library system owns. My goal in the upcoming months is to read a number of current day authors from around the world.

Michael Glenn--this is his first novel, and the only one I think he's published to date, so I'd say yes, this is the one. You've set a laudable goal for yourself, and I wish you much happy reading. I used to think there were precious few wonderful authors currently writing, but the more I read, the more I've been disabused of this notion!

Thanks, Michael! I'll be paying a visit to my local library later today - I'll pick up this novel.

Michael I'm very interested to hear your thoughts, Glenn!
