CRAP CRAP CRAP...HATED IT!!! This is the epitome of nauseating travelogues. This woman thinks she is Italian because she renovated and lived in a small property in Tuscany??? And she is clearly so much smarter, knows better, and has more experience in everything (not JUST renovating and living in a small house in Tuscany) than anyone else on earth because she renovated and lived in a small house in Tuscany. Blech.

Leftbanker Please explain to me why so many people think this book is great. It only sold about a bazillion copies and the author has gone on to write even worse crap. She must be stopped. This is coming from a guy who give almost everything I review 5 Stars. I think people just like the idea and don't really examine it much beyond that. Thanks for hating this pant load of a travel book.

Sadie Mazzola She NEVER CLAIMS TO BE ITALIAN! This book celebrates a new life, while looking at the history that it is built on!!

I didn't say she CLAIMS TO BE ITALIAN! I said she "thinks" she's Italian. That's how she came across to me. And, it's okay for you to love her book and rush to her defense. It's also okay for me to hate it and not be swayed by your defense. I think that most travelogues are just by their nature narcissistic. This one just happened to bug me more than most others.

Sandra Barron How on earth did you get that she thinks she's Italian. The whole point is seeing it through the lens of a foreigner. Blech to your review.

Sadie Mazzola Ty Tamara! All the
people who made it a bestseller are not wrong!

Tamara 😆 50 shades of grey is a best seller. So is twilight. Being a best seller =/= good writing. I hated this book. I found the author pretentious. You liked it. Great! We have different taste in books.

Frederick Jackson "Do not worry about them, they have their rewards" You know by whom.

Sadie Mazzola We all have certain tastes. I loved this book, so did the rest of her readers. This is about finding a new life, in a new country! Sorry you can't understand it Tamara.
