This is the only logical way to introduce oneself to the works of Plato. It lacks the literary merit of so many others but lays out the Socratic form of discourse in all its glory and is incredibly simple to follow. The debate in the last quarter on the purpose of teaching is especially interesting, and like all Plato's works, it ends with nothing less than God. Get a start on learning to live the good life; read it and read it well.
