really liked it
bookshelves: hebrew, mysteriesthrillers

This was definitely my least painful Hebrew reading experience since I joined my Hebrew book club about a year ago. I actually didn't mind picking this one up, and might even go so far as to say that I enjoyed reading it. I still have my same old questions about whether reading in my second language is making me more critical or less critical of my experience than I would be in English. But if you want to try reading in a second language, a mystery is an excellent choice.

P. I agree. My best reading experiences in Spanish so far were in my Detective Lit seminar in college. Even if the genre formula is tweaked, the structure is still there and able to be leaned upon.

K Yes, plus the motivation to find out who the culprit was helps you continue when language is bogging you down.
