Audio - 1 very generous star!
Story - 5 stars minus 2 stars for the poor choice of narrator
I'm not even going to review the story. I'm late to the party and there are a ton of reviews out there. What I'm going to bitch about is the choice of narrator. WHY???!! Why go with an amateur narrator who delivered a robotic performance instead of a seasoned one for a series as popular as this one???? What was Kale Williams, JF Harding, Chris Patton, Aiden Snow...just to name a few of the best, unavailable??? Ugh!! I'm so pissed!

I have a feeling I will be ranting about the narrator choice made for The Wolf at the Door. When you get a chance, listen to the sample. The voice is nice but something is missing. He sounds kind of bored. I hope I'm wrong.

I like him too. 🙈😅 I don't think he sounds bored, he rather talks a bit too fast for me. 😂 Too bad the sampme doesn't include Oark's voice, but going by Cooper's boss I would say he does distinctive voices and that's a huge plus for me. 😅

It's hard for me to find narrators I can tolerate I can only imagine how bad this one had to be for you to give them 1 star. A horrible narrator can really ruin a story.

I just discovered this series and listend to the audiobook sample. First thought - uuuuuh nice! I like this voice. But I kept listening and now I'm crushed. This is not good. You're so right. I would've loved it as an audiobook. Not sure if I would pick up the book though. Sad. Just sad.

I have been trying to read book 2 forever, but it's definitely the kind of story I would prefer listening too.
