As a woman who has experienced domestic abuse, I found many of Ms. Kaur's poems healing to my wounded body and spirit. She writes beautifully. Her poems reflect this generation 's use of social media, hence the many short poems that so many commenters complained about. Any poet who becomes a bestseller has my admiration and support. The world needs more healing, brutally honest poetry from girls and women.
