I haven’t read this one but Miracle In The Andes was absolutely haunting. It was a 5 star read for me but damn, I understand why you found the topic too dark.

Totally understandable Bren. It is very VERY disturbing indeed. Some things are better not knowing.

Funny you should say that because I just wrote my review and in it I said I thought many people simply would not be able to power through the gruesome detail. I am glad I did, but I don't blame anyone for not. Skeletons of the Zahara is a similar theme, but in the desert and without the anthropophagy. I do recommend that one. I think most anyone could read it and be inspired.
