I agree with you! I don't know why, but there are books that I can read over and over again and they always give me the same feelings as the first time I read them. But then there are those that make you wonder why you liked them in the first place. 😅

I know what you mean. That's exactly why I love rereading my favourite books - they give me comfort and take me back to a much happier time when I first read them. 😊 I feel I didn't reread as much last year, that's why I want to do more of that this year.
Of course, I love reading new things too, but you never know if you'll end up enjoying them or not.

Whoa, so many re-reads!! I think the fact that I waited so long to read it, and after reading so many other MM books too, is probably why I didn't love it as much 🙈 Jaime was the best though! I enjoyed his chill personality and his family was lovely too. I know you're in the middle of re-reading the sequel too so good luck with it! Maybe you'll get me to finally give it a go haha

this has me favorite trope and it’s the biggest reason why i wanna read this but i haven’t enjoyed this authors mf books so that’s what worries me. 😅 one day i’ll get to it for sure though. glad to see you love it so much though. it’s an amazing feeling when you love a book so much like this. 💙

I loved this but it ruined me. I put off reading it because it’s my favorite trope even though I loved the sample and thought about it constantly. Then this year I decided to stop putting off books I really want to read so I started 2022 with Him/Us and I’ve been in such a reading slump ever since. 😂😂

@ Elena I think this series is this author at her best because I have disliked every other book I’ve tried to read by her and I find when reading reviews, I’m not alone in thinking that. Don’t be nervous to pick this one up. 💗

It has my favourite trope, too! That's why I wanted to read it, even though I hadn't read any MM before. For me, it's one of the books I'm unable to think critically about, I just get lost in the story. 😊

It was also my first book by both authors. Since then I've read one MF book by EK, didn't like it, and several books by SB, but the only one I loved was The Understatement of the Year.

Just to be clear, I've also read these author's Good Boy, but I consider it to be a part of HIM series, even though it's not. 😂

Same, this was my first mm romance book and I'm pretty sure this was what hooked me with the mm category. I loved it😩

Maybe listen to the sample and see if you like it. The first time I listened to the audiobook, it took some time to get used to it, but only because I'd read it so many times myself. But I do think that both narrators are great and my last few re-reads were all on audio. 🙂

What a a great place to start an MM reading experience, with HIM as your First time you certainly won’t forget it and you’ll want more. This one was certainly the first one I chose when I wondered what MM or MF meant when I saw it mentioned. I’ve never regretted it.

I agree with you, Carol! I couldn't have picked up a better one to get me interested in MM. 😊 I didn't even use to read that much romance before, so no idea why it was recommended to me by my e-book reader. 😅
