it was ok

A quick read and not that good. It's more about the wonks and obsessives like Jennings himself, than maps or map-making. I think he wants to be a Bill Bryson but he isn't interesting enough as a subject. I could spend hours poring over maps myself, so it's a bit disappointing not to find many of those in the book.

Phrodrick slowed his growing backlog To be fair it is titled as being about geography wonks. I suspect he intended it to be about geography wonks.
I too read this and was not entirely charmed.
