1.5 Star
half Star for the whole book & I'm being generous to add 1 Star as a bonus for the amazing promising first 9 chapters (the reason I couldn't give this book 1 star) which didn't last longer, RIP
(D: Dreadful)
I really wanted to like this series; cool name, cool covers, cool titles, I've read cool things & saw cool arts about it. magic & everything, it sounded a lot like Deltora.
but it appeared it wasn't.
for one thing, it was Slow.
long story short: this wasn't for me.
Warning: ranting review,
if you are a fan, don't read the rest.

if the story continued like the first 9 chapters, I definitely would've given it more stars, maybe adding to my favourite shelf.
but nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...
too boring
too slow
too detailed unimportant events (like 7 pages to explain how they were sliding down through the shooting trash canal!? without any actual purpose (for this scene to be this much dragged on)!)
some NonSenSe descriptions about some new designed creatures.
& some disgusting things happening there.
those shocking events were so predictable!
I really wanted to love this, the synopsis was interesting, the covers were gorgeous, but how the plot worked out, additional elements & new designed creatures, most of the characters & writing styles showed me something else. :(
I don't think I will continue this series. I feel sorry because covers are beautiful.
