This is actually the first book in the series that I've read, but it was fairly smooth sailing despite that fact. It did take me a while to get used to the quirky/corny humor. But I have to say, I enjoyed the time I spent with Charley, Reyes, Cookie, Garrett and the others. Don't let the silly humor fool you. Darynda Jones writes a good quality mystery story.

Yeah, I lucked out getting this as an ARC, E.
The other books were much funnier - but I still loved this book. You should read the others Danielle - they were great.
