I think you've stumbled on something here.... I also have a theory about the ending of Thunderhead. I wish there was a fan discussion group.

***spoilers below***My thoughts are surrounding the manner in which Citra and Rowan were rendered deadish in the end of Thunderhead. They were dressed in founding Sycthe garbs and I wonder whether there is more to this that Neal is setting up for when they are found and revived. Im super excited!

That's a fair point! Or maybe they aren't deadish. The only thing we all know for certain is we all need Toll asap.
I sort of got the impression with all the talk of them becoming one that they, er, took the robes off again. ;)

Joey, I don't know if you have seen the cover (it was revealed two days ago) but it kinda confirms your theory about the title ;)
Tolling also happens when during the conclave when all the scythes remember everyone they’ve gleaned right?
Citra and Rowan have to be revived if there going to stop goddard..... Also, Greyson HAS to play a major role in the toll’s storyline, he’s the only marked savory (lol) if that makes sense. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.......
