´¡±ô±ô’a±è±è²¹°ù±ð²Ô³ú²¹ breve ma pieno d’azione!
Si parte subito con la protagonista, Alice che si risveglia sulla panchina a Central Park ammanettata a Gabriel.
Ovviamente loro non si conoscono e lei non si ricorda come ci è arrivata lì. Il primo pensiero è stato di un rapimento, ma come hanno fatto in 24h a portala nel bel mezzo in un parco e soprattutto perché.
Verremo a sapere che ci sarà molto di più sotto e si scopriranno un sacco di cose man mano che si procede con la lettura, fino alla rivelazione finale che mi ha lasciata letteralmente a bocca aperta.

Questo libro non è molto lungo, è meno di 300 pagine ma non ci si ferma mai, siamo proprio come Alice, stiamo cercando di risolvere questo mistero nel minor tempo possibile, circondati dall’ansia e dall’insicurezza.
Il passato inizia a riaffiorare e grazie a questi flashback presenti nel libro conosceremo Alice molto bene in questa sua “avventura� a New York.

L’ambientazione mi è piaciuta tantissimo. E� come fare un giro turistico per la città nei suoi luoghi principali o maggiormente conosciuti.
Ogni volta era scritto in che punto della città ci trovavamo e veniva descritto molto bene il luogo che si stava visitando.
L’autore è riuscito poi a trasmettere molto bene la personalità di Alice, soprattutto la sua determinazione, la voglia di raggiungere sempre l’obiettivo provandoci con ogni mezzo messo a disposizione.
Alice sicuramente è un personaggio che non non piace a tutti, c’� chi la vede molto sicura di sé e a chi diventa piuttosto snervante, io ero un po' nel mezzo, in certi punti mi piaceva proprio, in altri era veramente troppo testarda.

La storia si svolge in pochissimo tempo e questi due personaggi non si fermano mai. Gabriel è già più misterioso come personaggio ma avrà il suo perché questo suo ruolo più “diffidente�.
Mi è piaciuta molto la dinamica tra questi due sconosciuti, come interagiscono e cercano di uscire dal guaio in cui si sono ritrovati.

Questo è senza ombra di dubbio il primo libro letto quest’anno che mi ha veramente tenuta incollata alle sue pagine.
Volevo sapere come andava a finire, cosa ne sarebbe stato di queste persone, ad ogni capitolo la storia si infittisce, nuovi misteri emergono e non si può mai prevedere cosa succederà dopo.
La spiegazione finale l’ho letta tutta d’un fiato, non era veramente pronta ad una simile possibilità.
Il finale mi ha completamente colta alla sprovvista, anche qui può piacere o no, ma io l’ho trovato veramente geniale, una scelta molto intelligente.

Anche se lontano anni luce dal mio genere, è stata proprio una bella sorpresa!

Looks short but it’s full of action!
It starts right away with our main character, Alice who wakes up on a bench in Central Park handcuffed to Gabriel.
Obviously they don’t know each other and she doesn’t even remember how she got there. Her first thought was the one of a kidnap, but was it possible to get there in less than 24h in the middle of a park and especially why.
We will slowly learn that there’s so much more going on and we will discover so many things while reading, until the final revelation that left me completely open mouthed.

This book is not that long, it’s less than 300 pages but never slows down a bit, we are just like Alice, we are trying to solve this mystery in the shortest time possible, surrounded by anxiety and insecurity.
The past starts to resurface and thanks to these flashbacks written in the book, we will get to know Alice very well in this New York adventure.

I loved the setting. It’s like I was taking a touristic trip through the city, visiting the most known and famous places.
Every time the name of the place we were in was written and the place we were visiting was very well described
The author was able to portray Alice’s personality, especially her determination, her wanting to reach the objective, trying in every way possible.
Alice is for sure a character that not everyone will like, someone may see her very secure and confident and to others she may turn into a very unnerving person. I was a little bit in the middle, sometimes I really liked her, and sometimes she was way too stubborn.

The story takes place during a very short period of time and these two characters never stop a minute. Gabriel is more a mysterious type of character but he has his reasons in being the way he is.
I really liked the dynamic between these two strangers, how they interact and try to escape from this madness.

This is without any doubts the first book read this year that really kept me glued to its pages.
I always wanted to know how this was going to end, what could have happened to these people. With every chapter the story intensifies, new mysteries are uncovered and you can never predict what will happen.
I read the final explanation so fast, I really wasn’t ready for a possibility like that.
The finale completely got me unprepared, and in this case too you may like it or not, but I found it pretty genius, a pretty clever choice.

Even if distant from my normal basis reads, this was a really pleasant surprise!
