One of the most creative worlds I have read. The citizens have grey skin, white hair and red eyes, so the belles were made to create magical appearances for all. I loved the sisterly relationships between all the belles. But what I was looking for was more of the intrigue and mystery surrounding the royal family. I felt it was way too slow for me. It dragged on for a long time and it was too long. I guess I have a short attention span, but I did have to stop reading it for a bit because I got bored. I still like the world enough to buy and read the next book though.
