"I've been looking forward to this one and picked it up immediately when it went on sale. I've enjoyed the reviews from my friends so far for this one, but there is that little bit of trepidation in thinking about how she can write another book that will be near the epic quality of "The Nightingale". The little bit I've read so far shows that I have nothing to worry about and I find myself easily immersed."

I enjoyed this, overall, much more than I enjoyed 'The Nightingale.' Looking forward to your thoughts on this, Mike!
Well ladies...I honestly didn't think Hannah could write a better book than "the Nightingale", but she proved me wrong. After reading the afterword I think I can understand why. Her ability to convey a sense of time and place was perfect for me.I had about 50 pages left yesterday and was wondering where it was all going and I'm glad I decided to finish this one off at home rather than out in public. It was quite an ending to a spectacular book.

I just love her novels but this one and "The Nightingale" are such awesome reads in my opinion.

It worked for me though. This and "The Nightingale" are powerful reads that i won;t forget anytime soon. Glad you enjoyed both as well!!
