**Thank you, Ky, for this gift** Cherry on the cake : I enjoyed this book a lot. As Ariana mentioned in her review that reflects my opinion so well : “This was an unexpected delight.
When 18, Maddox stupidly lied to his girlfriend by saying he was gay to break-up with her. Like I said…stupid. Even more that said girlfriend spread out the words in their little town and Maddox didn’t get the balls to correct her and ran to live in New York.
A few years later, Maddox is invited to his ex-girlfriend’s wedding and, still in his web of lies, asked for his BFF’s brother, Damon, to pretend being his boyfriend in exchange of helping him for his career. Even though Damon is not impressed by Maddox’s BS, he can’t help having a soft spot for this guy so different from him (ie blond, "straight", and cheerful).
I was stunned by how much I enjoyed these MCs and how their encounter evolved, realistically (yes, despite how it started) from strangers, to friends to lovers, with lots of chemistry, thoughts, sincerity, communication and a good dose of banter and steam. I couldn’t help but being found of Maddox and Damon and how they tackled the bumps on the road.
It’s a sweet and refreshing romance that I recommend : it’s worth a try.

Thank you, Ariana. We so are on par :-) And it is "re-read" material : I will also keep it in mind if I want to feel good and relax !!
I'm looking forward to read the next book, to see if this author can score again with us !

Hello Simone. I will keep in mind that you like this trope then. And this one should work well for you. I found that it was very well balanced : it's sweet but not sugary at all and the relationship is nicely developed despite how it started.
Whenever you try this one, I will be curious to see your take on it :-)
Have a nice week, <3

Oooooh Ky : thank you again for this double surprise : the gift AND the enjoyment I got from this read. It was obviously a great choice :-)

Thank you, Shile. My advice : don't wait too long to go for it and when you do, I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did !!

Thanks, Deborah. So, tell me : not tempted, not even a little bit ?
Sorry, I get carried away with this one, but it's so refreshing ;-)
