My fourth book from the MBI shortlist and sixth including the longlist - this was probably the one I enjoyed least.
The perspective on Baghdad from an Iraqi is not one we hear much of so that was interesting, but I didn't feel the Frankenstein element of the story worked very well and I am not sure that much of the humour translated.
An interesting book but not an essential one.

Thank you, Hugh, I was curious about this one myself, but I think I will pass on this one now.
Fiona, Cheri - I wouldn't want to stop anyone reading this one - I may just have been feeling a little negative when I wrote the review, and after the extraordinary Flights the next book I read had pretty high standards to match.
