This book genuinely disappointed me and is one of my biggest let downs of 2018. I never expect this curveball 😭😭😭
I don’t wanna hear an inner monologue of I did this, then this, then this.
Also all the side quests just seemed thrown in and I wasn’t really into it.
I enjoyed the second half immensely more than I did the first; but it still didn’t blow me away like I was expecting it to after everyone here lost their minds over it.
Circe just seemed to be a very woe is me character and I don’t love that character.
My favourite characters were probably Telemachus and Penelope - but honestly this just dragged and was petty to the point it was boring.

I’m sorry this book let you down Katie. *hugs* It stinks when a book doesn’t live up to the hype even if it wasn’t terrible.

@Rachel thanks *accepts hug gratefully* it wasn’t terrible at all! I just, expected more really after what everyone said. Maybe, hopefully I will fall in love with song of Achilles, because I did love Galatea by her!

I felt exactly the same way. It wasn’t a bad book, it just didn’t live up the all the hype. :/

Ughhh, same. I'm reading this right now and I'm SO BORED. And I'm so sad, because I loved Song of Achilles... 😭
