The Handmaid’s Tale (The Handmaid's Tale, #1)

Considering the overwhelming popularity of this book, I don't know what, if anything this says about me..
I found this book boring, slow moving and predictable.
The writing is lackluster and toneless and I didn't connect with, or care for any of the characters.Â
The author, in trying to portray a society that is bleak and gray and monotonous, wrote a book that is as boring and bla as the world it describes.Â
