A review dedicated to friendship and personal milestones
I remember it clear as yesterday, it was 19th January 2017, when I randomly commented on a review of Dan Brown’s Inferno and by pure happenstance, came in touch with this amazing lovely girl. Never once I thought that one simple random comment would earn me a great friend!!
And it seems so fitting that here I am, almost 2 years later, reading one of my fav author’s (not anymore) book with my most fav person and doing a BR & a BR! Don't get it? It was a Buddy Read and now we're doing a Buddy Review by posting our reviews together at the same time! This review also brings up a personal milestone of my official 100th review and thecrazy lady lovely lady brought up her
300th Review!
I just absolutely adore when things round up like this! May we read so many more books together and reach many more milestones together! Stick around, Yamna, will ya? To us!

Now for the review itself, here we go:
Man, this was underwhelming af! I mean…GOD. DAMMIT. DAN. BROWN! I expected this shit to be GOOOOOD! I put so much faith in you Danny boy that I frikking PRE-ORDERED a HARDCOVER copy of the book when I dont ever buy hardcovers!!!!! *sobs in a corner*
This book…I don’t even wanna write a detailed review about it. It was all build up and fizzle out! Such an anti-climactic ending that I can’t even... *wipes away a tear*
For me, personally, the high point was The Lost Symbol. After that Inferno was a let-down but it still had something. This book though had NOTHING! This one made Inferno look so good! And I’ll tell you why this book has let people down mostly. Its bcz this was nothing like a Robert Langdon book. There was no code breaking, no secret societies, no nothing! This book should have been a standalone and it would have made so much more sense!
I could point out many other sources of disappointment but what’s the point? Danny let me down! Gosh! I literally have TWO fav authors and of them, ONE fav author is slipping! I mean I have expectations from you Danny! And now I gotta live with this disappointment for the next 3-4 years till he comes out with the next book, all the while hoping and praying that that one revives Robert Langdon for me as I work on lowering my expectations from the author.
I am sad. Like actually sad! So not cool! Fuck it! I’m done with this review!

Your review doesn't read that way.....going soft already?

No. I found it so disappointing that I can't be bothered to write a detailed review for this one.
But looking at it objectively, it did have it's moments and it did start of pretty good before it got boring and hence the rating ;)
