Have you ever read a book that was so good you were dying to talk to someone about it? Wished you could rate it higher than 5 & then regret almost all the other 5’s you gave out because none come close to that one? That’s where I am at with Verity by Colleen Hoover right now. This book is not for everyone. I see a lot of people not being able to finish it. There’s descriptions of child abuse; murder of a child; explicit sex scenes. But as soon as you get past each one, she releases you from the horror just enough. I had 4 working theories by 40%. None of them were completely right, and I thank our good Lord for that. I’m finding so many thrillers predictable lately that I really needed this one. You may have your own theories but unless you’re one of those psychopaths that skip to the ending, I guarantee you won’t have it completely figured out. When I finished, my mouth was open.
