And Then There Were None

A fantastically written mystery, which kept me guessing the whole time, and managed to surprise me with its ending!
My first Agatha Christie book smashed it! What a genius!
I thoroughly enjoyed this whodunit, and could not for the life of me figure out what was going on. Admittedly, I'm not great at figuring out who the villain is, but this was spectacularly written, and had me scratching my head! More importantly, the ending was great, it had me saying whaaaaat?!
At first I thought I would be overwhelmed with the amount of characters introduced, but they were all vividly different, so it was easy. They were all pretty unlikeable characters, but that didn't matter at all, in fact I quite enjoyed that.
I have nothing else to say, that hasn't been said before, so I will just end this with,
“Ten little soldier boys went out to dine; One choked his little self and then there were Nine. Nine little soldier boys sat up very late; One overslept himself and then there were Eight.
Eight little soldier boys travelling in Devon; One said he’d stay there and then there were Seven. Seven little soldier boys chopping up sticks; One chopped himself in halves and then there were Six. Six little soldier boys playing with a hive; A bumble bee stung one and then there were Five.
Five little soldier boys going in for law; One got in Chancery and then there were Four.
Four little soldier boys going out to sea; A red herring swallowed one and then there were Three. Three little soldier boys walking in the Zoo; A big bear hugged one and then there were Two.
Two little soldier boys sitting in the sun; One got frizzled up and then there was One.
One little soldier boy left all alone; He went and hanged himself and then there were None.

Yass, my favorite crime author ❤️
Make sure you read the epilogue. : )

I'm a little embarrassed that I haven't read any of her books until now! 😳

Thanks lovely! I was but haven't had time/energy this week! Getting back on it tonight x

That's why books are good companions. They don't expect anything and patiently wait until you have time for them again. Hope you'll find some time to calm down.

One of my all-time faves. So glad you loved it!

Phew so am I! 😂 I'm so glad you told me to read the epilogue!! It was great, so cleverly written x

Thanks Arini! This was my first too, so haven't got anything to judge it by, but yes I'd definitely agree that this one would be a great place to start!

You going to try (m)any of her other books after this success? 😇

I actually own a copy of the abc murders but can't remember if that's a standalone or not? Have you read any?

I know you didn't ask me but I know, I know!! ABC Murders is a standalone, and it's quite good.
The Mysterious Affair at Styles, The Murder on the Links, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Death on the Nile, and Murder on the Orient Express are all amazing.

Literally not enough time to read all the books! In another life I'm a rich bitch lying on a beach reading all day 😂

Same Twila! I had no clue! I can't wait to read more by her! :)

Yay thank you! I'm so happy too! I'm hearing that a lot, that this one is everyone's fave! What other ones do you recommend Nilufer? I have a list above from Dita! 🤗

Thank you Sarah! Some books just stand the test of time, I can't believe how long ago this one was written! I hope you enjoy it if you get to it next year :)

It really kept me guessing too Holly! Thank you lovely 💕

Thanks Em!
Ah wow you're welcome! I hope you love it as much as her other books! I'm not sure why I've never read any of her other books, but that's so great you grew up reading them! 📚💕
