really liked it

Wow.

I loved the premise of this book. Darby, a college student on the way to see her mother in the hospital, is unable to continue driving in the treacherous conditions caused by a major snowstorm and is forced to pull over at a rest stop. She is stranded there with four other people. A short while after she gets there, she discovers a child being held in a van in the parking lot. She knows the kidnapper is one of the four people inside, but which one?

My courage failed me a few times in the early part of this book and I had to take a couple of breaks to let the fear subside. (Seriously, I don't know why I'm such a chicken in some books and not others?) This book really had me worked up. It was so good, though, and I HAD to know how it ended. As the story continued, I was able to finish in just two sittings, which is pretty good for me lately.

Overall, this was a great suspense novel. However, be warned, it does get pretty violent in the last half.

Borrowed ebook from the library.

Yes! I agree. That probably had a lot to do with how chicken I was!
