I’m not well versed in historic stories of the British upper class, but I’m happy to say that despite the fear, despite having to hide, Maurice finds love, grabs on, and refuses to let go.

I saw parts of this in the movie adaption (but have no real idea what happens), but it had such a sad air about it! Great review! :)

Thanks Ariana! I’ve not seen the movie but I’m sure it was scandalous back in the 80’s when it was made. The story is sad but ends on a happy note overall in and amongst so much proper-ness.
