The Song of Achilles

It took me too long to get to this highly rated work. I am a reader who is woefully undereducated about myths of the ancient world. The basics were familiar - the Trojans vs. the Greeks, Helen of Troy, Ulysses and some of the other figures. It is gorgeously written, and a sublime story of love. The violence, particularly against women is excruciating. This is a story to savor.

I had it on Kobo and I tend to use my kindle and don't even know where the charger is for the kobo. I will eventually read Circe as that also has very good reviews.
