The writing is decent and I'm sure that a lot of people loved her overcoming adversity type story.
I am just not one of them.
My problem is that I've read her story (or similar enough) before, and Tara's story wasn't as well written.
My opinion is not the norm, so give it a go, and see if you warm to her plight.

I was actually reading your review when this comment came through lol.
Oof. I keep nudging this down my list because I would prefer to listen but I'm not sure I want to listen badly enough that I'll buy a copy (my library does not have the audiobook). Think it just tumbled down a few hundred slots on my TBR list ;)
I did the audio (my library did have it lol) and it's not bad, but it's not fabulous either.
I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!! After reading The Glass Castle years ago, I just couldn't with this one.
YASSS! The Glass Castle is so much deeper for sure Kate.I actually cried reading that one.
I felt mostly annoyance during this one.
I just said that it is like a less moving glass castle to my mom yesterday!!!!!! She had just read educated and told me about it.
