The Hunting Party

Dear Reader,
I must admit to a certain impatience with the characters at the start of this book. The underlying tension served to grate on me and I did, once or twice, think of setting it aside.
However, the need to know not only the identity of the perpetrator but also that of the victim, spurred me on.
This is an atmospheric read, set,as it is,in the confines of the Scottish highlands.
Its brooding, chilling and hostile environment mirrors the relationship, hostilities and ailing friendships between these seemingly similar but realistically, very different disparate group of friends.
Fuelled by old grievances, much alcohol, jealousies, and myriad secrets, coupled with the hidden histories of Heather and Doug, these nine friends get more than they bargained for,on this New Year’s weekend.
Recommended to those looking for something a little outside the box.
