The Bookish Life of Nina Hill

Fun, evocative and playful with books as a centerpiece
Nina Hill is a great character who surprises herself and others when she discovers a family she never knew existed. A loner, book lover whose fixated on regimen, she bears a slight resemblance to Eleanor Oliphant but far more open to change. Great stories require interesting characters we relate with and a plot that answers the why. Abbi does a great job with both of these along with the incorporation of characters from another of her books. The reason for 4 stars is the predictable ending which is the happily ever after sort. While fitting for the story I had hoped for a surprise. A great book written by an outstanding author!

"Pretty interesting contrast between Eleanor Oliphant and Nina though there are slight similarities. This looks to be another great book by Abbi"

Yes Richard..Abbi is a talented author with a zany sense of humor, while completely relatable. Other People's Houses is hilarious. But let's not forget books like Virgil Wander, Deacon King Kong or Eleanor Oliphant to name a few.
