Beauregard Shagnasty I am going to start collecting the old Matt Helm books...I just watched the dreadful Dean Martin films and I need to cleanse myself!

Adam I have only read "The Ambushers," but it was good enough to make me buy a bunch of the old Matt Helm books on eBay. It terms of writing, pacing, and authenticity, Hamilton really blows similar series fiction out of the water.

I have avoided the Dean Martin movies so far because they look like "In Like Flint." Imagine if the Peter Sellers "Casino Royale" was the only film adaptation of James Bond! It would be something like that...

This book collects two older, non-Helm novels. Hamilton is really a great storyteller. Lots of fun to read.

Beauregard Shagnasty Just picked up 'The Removers', apparently #3 in the Helm series, for two dollars. Score! I have the greatest used bookstore near me where I get most of my great old stuff.
