Re-read 10/14/20: nothing compares 2 (jan)u(ary + gus)
Original read 3/25/20: Easily my favorite book of the year so far. I just finished it and I already want to do a re-read to spend some more time with January and Gus. MY HEART. This book was equal parts swooney and grumbley while also being SO self-aware and I loved every little bit of it. Plus, the banter in this was *chef's kiss* PERFECTION. 10/10 do recommend

Oh my goodness autocorrect got me for thesis instead of this is haha how embarrassing! I ended up order this one from BOTM and The Splendid and the Vile. I’m so excited for it. I’m going through my TBR fast right now with working from home.

SO glad I took your recommendation on this one! Grabbed an early release from BotM and I am in rapture!!! All the love in my heart for this story!
I am giving book 4 stars. Sorry did not reach 5 star rating. I enjoyed the slow burn of gus and January's relationship. There was January's back story with a father who died and had a affair while mother was sick with cancer. I liked the writer's block as well. There were many moments I enjoyed out of this book. Still need to post review.
Hey Chelsea, thanks for your review. I read your trigger warnings (thanks for posting) before finishing and thought that the Dads death would be a suicide. You meant the dad from the cult though right?

I reread this book almost immediately and have no regrets. Crap. I might just have to read it for a third time this year...
