Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men

Easily one of the best books that I have ever had the privilege to read. I'll be purchasing this for my personal collection. I firmly believe that this book should be mandatory reading for everyone around the world. It's sad to me that we consistently have to explain all of the reasons ways in which sexism is detrimental to society, beyond the fact that sexism should in itself be enough of an explanation. Criado-Pérez manages to point out statistic after statistic without ever putting blame on men as a whole. She manages to express anger eloquently and without bias. As International Women's Day 2020 approaches, I encourage everyone to pick up a copy of this book or listen to it as an audiobook. The more aware we are of how we perpetuate data gaps and bias, the more likely we are to be inclusive in the future. Thank you to Caroline Criado-Pérez for taking the time to compile all of these statistics and analysis into this remarkable novel.
