's review

it was ok
bookshelves: children-s, classics, unpopular-opinion, nope, project-clear-ur-sh-t, 1-and-a-half-stars, reviewed

I thought things couldn't get worse...

Then this book doubled the number of children.

So basically, if you want my review of this, take my review of the last book and make it twice as mean.

That's all.

Bottom line: The love of this series is getting beaten out of me.

1.5 stars

◍n Is it just me or are you reading six books for a single readathon quest

Emma Lmao I couldn’t agree more. Rilla of Ingleside I think isn’t a bad book, I just felt that it wasn’t what I signed up for when reading the Anne books. I know a lot of people have said this but I think you should try Emily of New Moon! She’s different from Anne, kinda goth and has a much stronger drive to be a writer, kind of like Montgomery herself!

it's the last quest so i'm reading every book i can for it

i might!! in the distant future...i'm mad at montgomery right now lol

Marije I guess the author thought the reader'd prefer stories about children? Whereas I'd preferred more Anne+Gilbert. The cover is pretty though!

I did like the next one more though, mainly because of its portrayal of how a crisis alters perceptions of reality.

i'm with you! i've heard almost across the board that rilla is better so i will be there

·:*䲹:*· Heheeeeh, Really? Oof, I personally love old fashioned books and watching Anne and Gilbert growing and living their life has become kind of a hobby lol! I understand your reasons for getting bored with this series but I personally like it! Hope you re-read it and change your mind! =->
My humble opinion.
With great goodbyes, I now return to my enchanted castle with my beautiful princess on my black horse. As I ride away, I yell: Thank you for reading and have a nice daaaaayyyy.

Bronwyn Yeah, this is def my least favorite of these books. Rilla is my fave other than Anne of the Island though so enjoy!

i have no problem with "old-fashioned books" - in fact i love classics - but i find the way that lm montgomery wrote the later books in this series took a noticeable and abrupt downturn in quality. def won't be rereading but glad this worked for you!

so many people have said that, i'm actually getting excited about it!

Same here! even though, you have a point-L.M Montgomery does love multiplying all the children lol.
Glad to hear that you have liked some of the past books in this series, what would you say is your favorite? (mine's definetly the firs one, Anne of green gables.) :> Also, many people have told me that they like the netflix Tv show instead of the books. Maybe you feel that way too? (though it's probably because my friends aren't obssesed with books like me :/) Anyways now I just went on blibber blabbering.
Have a nice day =)
Happy reading everyone!

Mellii Yeah, this one didn't work for me either

Jeannie This book is terrible........why is it just a long boring tale about kids we don't know and also just an old woman complaining about other Christians.
