Breaking Dawn (The Twilight Saga, #4)

** spoiler alert **
Well, it was okay. It was probably my favorite of all the Twilight books, because there was the least happening in the "human world" and the most vampire/werewolf interaction. (It was the awkward see-sawing between these two worlds that annoyed me in the other books). It also read faster then the others, which I appreciated.
From the quote on the back, which made me gag, I wasn't expecting much. But there was enough going on to make up for the cheesy bits and keep me interested despite being thouroughly spoiled ('Wow!' my friend next to me said loudly. 'I always wondered about Jacob imprinting on Bella's baby, but I never thought it'd actually HAPPEN!').
As someone whose fantasy reads usually contain more action then romance, the ending was an anti-climax. Everyone's all worked up and ready for a huge battle, which... never occurs. Bella designs a secret escape plan for her daughter that... isn't needed. Then again, having a "final battle" could be considered a clich茅. But not having it, not vanquishing the Volturi, coupled with all the new characters that are confusingly introduced but never play a big role, is very unsatisfying. It almost leaves room for... dare I say it... a sequel?
Then again, maybe not. After all, the series isn't about saving the vampire world from the Volturi; it's about Bella and Edward living happily ever after. If you want me, I'll be reading Harry Potter.
Conclusion: The Twilight series is not great literature. But it is pretty entertaining. Fans will be satisfied by an easily-gained happy ending.
