OldBird I wonder how much longer this Thing of X and Y naming trend will go on for. Some really good books use it, but it makes everything sound like it must be a YA lite read regardless of actual content.

True! The trend seems to be going strong. I was just approved for some ARCs for 2020 and sure enough, several of them are Blanks of Blanks and Blanks LOL.

Mugdha I enjoyed this book so muchhope you will like it.

Melissa Stacy I loved this book!! I agree that the title makes it sound like YA, when this one is actually adult historical fantasy. I look forward to hearing what you think! ^.^

I'm surprised! The cover is kind of YA-looking, too, even though I like it.

Glad to hear it's good. :)

I was surprised, too. I actually picked it up thinking it *was* YA, and I had seen it shelved by other Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ reviewers as YA, too. But this one is officially adult historical fantasy, and that marketing category is made clear by the publisher as well as the author.

I think the title and the cover both contributed to the book looking and sounding like it's YA, and the fact that part of the story is a bildungsroman. But the entire book is told from an omniscient POV, follows multiple main characters, and the writing style is definitely adult (the vocabulary is high, and that omniscient POV can get pretty dense).

I really loved it. I hope you enjoy it. <3
