Read 2 times. Last read May 1, 2020 to June 1, 2020.

One of the best fantasies, and a clever mystery besides. Read it, for probably the 10th time, but this time I read it aloud to my 7yo. He loved it, though I did have to explain a few things. I would love a Calcifer of my own.

2020: read this beautifully illustrated edition to all three kids, who loved it. (Of course.) One of the best books of all time? Indeed.

Brianna Is this where you got a little inspiration for Tuesdays at the Castle? Is it rude to ask that? I LOVE Tuesdays at the Castle, and now I want to read this, because on the back of TATC (Tuesdays at the Castle) it said 'fans of Howl's Moving Castle will enjoy this book'. So, yeah, now this is on my Want to Read list.

Um, possibly? I do love this book so much, and I've read it many times. I just wan't thinking of it specifically when I started writing Tuesdays.

Brianna Well, I'm going to try to get this from the library, and I think I will enjoy it. It sounds like the type of book I'd like. : ) Oh, and thanks for responding!!! PS: I am SUPER excited for Saturdays at the Sea and I am sooo glad you are writing it!! 8 > D

Hwee Goh Have you seen the Ghibli movie made from this book?

Thank you!

Yes. It was okay. It was not my favorite Ghibli movie, but it wasn't a terrible version of the book. I like Spirited Away and Ponyo, as far as movies go. And of course the book is always better!

Katie Agreed, loved this book. So magical.

Carissa Vilchis I love this book, I've read it several times! My 10 year old is actually starting to read this book now! It's the best feeling when you see your kids starting to read the same books you love. I would love to read the sequel as well.
