Paquita Maria Sanchez You did it! You really did it! Revenge of the capslock.

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio And all in loving tribute to your country cuteness attack on that DAN-TAY [unkind word for male homosexuals].

message 3: by Paquita Maria (new)

Paquita Maria Sanchez He knew what was up.

message 4: by Paquita Maria (new)

Paquita Maria Sanchez (Farrrr an' Briyummmstones).

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio He and his research partner, Real Life Jewish Werewolf, did many intensive poetry-driven scientific experiments in Hell in order to gather all the data.

Paquita Maria Sanchez I prefer Cerberus. What's one half-ass wolf made weak by his humanness compared to a pitbull with 3 heads? I'm assuming it's a pit, though they are actually great dogs when not raised by rednecks. Also, werewolves exist, though they are generally mistaken for serial killers. Serial killers are all actually werewolves, so serial killers don't exist. See the logic? Pssh, Dante knew.

Krok Zero Uh-oh, are we doing these again?

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio Just let me have my inside joke, mmmkay? Please, no one vote for this. Votes are precious and should be spent on Krok's reviews, not my bullshit.

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio You really ought to remove your comment from the feed lest someone see it and spend a valuable vote on such pandering garbage. Votes are important, people! This isn't a game!

Paquita Maria Sanchez Reverse psychology?

message 11: by Krok Zero (last edited Apr 28, 2011 11:50AM) (new)

Krok Zero My MFSO-baiting "review" of Pale King is getting votes again now that the book is out. Sigh.

More like an extended sigh made of words made of pixels.

Come on, it's funny, though. Whatever happened to humor? Let's laugh at each other, people!

Krok Zero D00d, I don't care if people vote for this and I have nothing against jokes. Was just wondering if the ol' capslock-summary trend was back in action...

I like your zeroes as o's "d00d!" By the way, I meant that your Pale King review is hilarious. I still remember it however many months later.

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio I'm only doing it to piss David off.

I know, my "d00d" comment was actually addressed at Flesh World (oh snap, stealth Twin Peaks reference). My original "here we go again"-type comment was not supposed to be humorless but rather a humorous acknowledgment of the Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ meme-timeline. /overexplanation

message 19: by Paquita Maria (last edited Apr 28, 2011 05:41PM) (new)

Paquita Maria Sanchez Flesh World! I never even thought about it. I'm so ashamed.

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio I'm just a self-punishing whore and assume everyone else is out to punish me, too. I'm the Laura Palmer of Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ. Gobble, gobble.

Save your shame for your hilarious belief that Joel and I are clones/twins/doppelgangers. WHICH ONE OF US IS TYPING THIS?!?

message 22: by Paquita Maria (new)

Paquita Maria Sanchez I have plenty of shame to go around! Yeah, that was pretty ridiculous of me to think for months and months, though. How did I get so turned around? Do I need to lay off the dust-off? If it is any sort of damage-control, though, I was very confused by it despite the fact that I thought it was true. Weird/true/confusing. (Shame)

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio She just finds it hard to believe that two people from Oak Park are on goodreads because she's from a state where she's one of four people that both own books and a computer and thus can participate on GR. Big city shock waves still reverberatin'.

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio (Computers made of tumbleweeds.)

Paquita Maria Sanchez Sadly accurate summary. Sprinkle in some miscommunications synonymous with social networking, and you basically have the whole picture.

message 26: by Krok Zero (new)

Krok Zero If it makes you feel better, we can pretend that I'm a demonic spirit a la BOB from Twin Peaks who possesses other Oak Park residents and forces them to create active Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ accounts.

It's okay. We make our computers out of beer, cheese, pork fat and our famous wind.

It does make me feel better, actually. Let's say that.

Paquita Maria Sanchez ...but I like beer and cheese...

How did you get that photo of me? Have you been stalking me? You could at least say hi next time.

Paquita Maria Sanchez Krok Zero wrote: "How did you get that photo of me? Have you been stalking me? You could at least say hi next time. "

The P.I. did all the work and just reports back to me. Hell, he even shot the photo. Sort of has nice lighting/composition, right? Very sinister and dramatic.

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio Krok Zero wrote: "My MFSO-baiting "review" of Pale King is getting votes again now that the book is out. Sigh."

I believe you meant 'bating'.

message 33: by Paquita Maria (last edited Apr 28, 2011 06:40PM) (new)

Paquita Maria Sanchez Well, technically the review was about masturbating (if I remember correctly). So, yeah, I believe you BOTH meant "Krok's MFSO m.bating review of The Pale King."

(Heehee..."the pale king.")

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio It's just batin' as far as I'm concerned. As in "Go away, batin'!" via Idiocracy.

message 35: by Paquita Maria (last edited Apr 28, 2011 06:43PM) (new)

Paquita Maria Sanchez (psssst! by "pale king" I meant "penis")

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio I'm pretty sure DFW wanted it to be called Penis: An Unfinished Novel. Too bad his wishes were disregarded.

message 38: by Krok Zero (new)

Krok Zero My "baiting" word choice was indeed made with a double meaning in mind. FYI, MFSO, I have definitely quoted your "if my heart's still beating, so am I" line since then.

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio I don't really remember that one. It's good though. Please keep it circulating as you see fit.
